DIONNE + CHRISTOPHER

May 15, 2012

Rain, sunshine, thunder, hail, wind, more rain, sunshine, no wait, it’s raining again now!  It’s not much fun going outside here in the UK at the moment as we are being forced to play Russian roulette with the weather.  The forecast is much brighter indoors where I plan on staying until the weather stops playing it’s mind games.  A shame I agree but the upside is I get to spend more time here sharing and updating.  I also get time to do a little tweaking so you’ll now notice a row of fancy buttons at the end of each post giving you the options to share what you’ve read via Facebook, Twitter and Google+.  You can now also ‘Pin’ my images (if you have a Pinterest account).  Just trying my best to keep up with the times! So back to sharing now, here is are a few images from the wedding of Dionne and Christopher with a little edginess thrown in….

RACHEL + KEVIN

May 1, 2012

Soothed by the sounds of Jazz & Blues artist Gregory Porter I’ve been busy lately powering through wedding album designs and retouching images like my life depends on it!  Here are a tiny selection of images from the beautiful wedding of Rachel and Kevin whose album I am currently working on.

SERINA + DELANO

April 29, 2012

Reluctantly boarding my flight in Jamaica almost a month ago I thought when I arrived home I’d be greeted by the warmer spring temperatures the UK had been enjoying while I was abroad.  Instead I was greeted by freezing temperatures and rain.  Not much has changed since only now gale force winds have decided to join in on the parade!  So complimenting the weather and in true winter style I present to you a few of my favorite images from Selina and Delano’s wedding on a cold but beautiful Sunday.

NICOLA + GARETH

January 29, 2012

I spent the final few days of 2011 in Kilkenny [Ireland] for the wedding of my cousin Gareth and his beloved Nicola.  Gareth, my brother and myself are all very close in age so to see one of the trio getting married was a reminder of how much we’d grownup and dare I say it become men!  It was a beautiful day tinted with an Irish flavour and surrounded by friends and lots of my family it was the perfect ending to a busy wedding season.

BUKI + DANIEL

January 22, 2012

Just arrived back from a busy weekend in London and the SWPP convention where I had a great time hanging out with some of the stars in the wedding photography industry and making some new friends.  It’s late and I’m not exactly in optimum condition but I just had to squeeze in a post before I collapse into bed to re-energise myself for the start of a fresh new week.

So here are a few highlights from Buki + Daniel’s glorious wedding.  Starting the day at Daniel’s apartment we moved onto the Marriot Hotel to meet up with Buki where I was reunited with the (self-titled) ‘Dream Team’; a trio consisting of myself, make-up artist Alison Cameron and hair stylist Abike Abu who are both amazing and always a pleasure to work with.  After the church ceremony, and for the third time in a year, we returned to Birmingham’s Botanical Gardens for the reception, however this time round the gardens were cloaked in autumns best colours and looking better than ever!

It doesn’t seem that long ago we were all aboard the Scott Robert workshop in Seville Spain where Sou-Wah and Stephen first met!  Returning there last year for their engagement session, we spent an amazing couple of days shooting around the beautiful city resulting in some of my favourite ever images and a huge blog post that you can revisit -click here-.  Fast forward to June 17th of this year, I took up the much anticipated position as a guest at their stunning wedding in Lodi California where our friends Tauran (aka Master ‘T’) and Lynn-Kai captured what will always be one of my proudest moments, witnessing two dear friends marrying their soul mates.  A week later and back on UK shores preparations were underway for their wedding celebrations here and once again a different role beckoned for this time I was to be a groomsman for the day.  Or was I!!!!! (cue dramatic music please, lol!)  Well as is sometimes the case in life, a little misfortune and plans have to change but everything happens for a reason and often for the greater good!  Surrounded with Sou-Wah and Stephen’s family and friends on a day bursting with joy and happiness I was instead back in my element as photographer capturing the final chapter in their journey to be married and wouldn’t have had it any other way!  Well actually I did get to play groomsman for just a little while (see below).  A truly happy ending then!

And we end with where it all began.  Two loving and devoted parents whose examples will ensure Stephen and Sou-Wah’s marriage lasts a lifetime.
